How to Gain Admission into UNILAG Faculty of Law

 

The Faculty of Law, University of Lagos is only Law Faculty with full accreditation in Nigeria. Being a reputable institution, the University of Lagos receive thousands of applications from prospective Law candidates. This makes the Faculty of Law one of the most competitive in the whole school.

The UNILAG Faculty of Law operates four undergraduate law programmes in law. To wit:

(i) Bachelor of Laws degree in Public law; LLB (Public Law) and
(ii) Bachelor of Laws degree in Private and Property law; LLB (Private and Property Law)
(iii) Bachelor of Laws degree in Commercial and Industrial Law; LLB (Commercial and Industrial Law)
(iv) Bachelor of Laws degree in Jurisprudence and International Law; LLB (Jurisprudence and International Law)

Students are admitted into the respective law programmes if they satisfy the general university admission requirements for UTME and direct entry requirement. Admission into UNILAG faculty of law is strictly on merit and candidates must strive to perform very well in their UTME by meeting the UNILAG Cut Off Mark for Law.

UNILAG FACULTY OF LAW ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

UNILAG UTME Law Requirements:

English Language and any three Arts or Social Sciences subjects.

NOTE: The University of Lagos does not accept Music, Fine Arts, and Principles of Accounting. UNILAG accepts either Economics or Commerce but not both.

UNILAG UTME Subjects:

Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Literature-in-English and any two of Arts or Social Sciences subjects.

UNILAG Direct Entry Law Requirements:

UNILAG accepts;

i) Very good passes in JUPEB/A Level Subjects: Literature-in-English and any two Arts or Social Sciences subjects.

ii) First Degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper.
