How to Gain Admission into UNIZIK Faculty of Law

 

The Faculty of Law, Nnamdi Azikiwe University is one of the most foremost Law Faculty in Nigeria. Being a reputable institution, the Nnamdi Azikiwe University receives thousands of applications from prospective Law candidates. This makes the Faculty of Law one of the most competitive in the whole school.

The programmes in the Faculty are designed to teach the general principles of Law to students, and broaden their outlook and education, while contributing a quota to the production of highly qualified, legal personnel in the society.

The UNIZIK Faculty of Law is one of the nine faculties in the University, with three departments namely:

  1. Commercial and Property Law
  2. International Law and Jurisprudence
  3. Public and Private Law

Students are admitted into the respective law programmes if they satisfy the general university admission requirements for UTME and direct entry requirement. Admission into UNIZIK faculty of law is strictly on merit and candidates must have a good performance in their UTME by meeting the UNIZIK Cut Off Mark for Law.

UNIZIK FACULTY OF LAW ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

UNIZIK UTME Law Requirements:

English Language and any three Arts or Social Sciences subjects.

UNIZIK UTME Subjects:

Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Literature-in-English and any two of Arts or Social Sciences subjects.

UNIZIK Direct Entry Law Requirements:

UNIJOS accepts;

(i) Two A level passes in Arts or Social Science subjects.
(ii) NCE/OND/First Degree (Second Class Lower)

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)/ REMARKS

UNIZIK Accepts;

NCE/Degree Certificate plus UME requirements.
