UNIBEN Admission Deferment Process: How to Apply for UNIBEN Admission Deferment

UNIBEN Admission Deferment Process | The University of Benin, UNIBEN Admission Deferment Process and Procedures has been announced. 

The Management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced the procedure for the deferment of admission from one academic session to another. Candidates who wish to defer their admission should see the full procedures on this page.

Conditions for Deferment of Admission.

For a new Student to be eligible to defer his/her admission on grounds of ill-health or unforeseen circumstances, such a person must meet the following conditions:

  1. Must be duly registered.
  2. Must not owe any fees
  3. Must have receipts of all payments.

Procedures for Deferment of Admission

Deferment of full time programme is only for one academic session. The candidate will apply to UAB after being cleared and having paid the school fees. Deferment is approved by the UAB only during the approved clearance period for the session. Failure of the candidate to resume school after the approved one academic session would lead to forfeiture of admission.

  • Students requesting for deferment do not go to their Faculties for registration, nor attend lectures or participate in examinations.
  • Deferment is not for candidates with poor academic performance at 100 level.
