The University Of Uyo JUPEB/Basic Studies Admission Form 2020/2021. UNIUYO JUPEB/Basic Studies Admission for JUPEB/Basic Studies Programme 2020/2021 session has been announced.UNIUYO Resumption Date

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into a non-residential, one-year Basic Studies programme of the University of Uyo for the 2020/2021 academic year.

Latest Update: This is to inform members of the public that the sale of Admission Forms into JUPEB / Basic Studies Programme of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) for the 2020/2021 Academic Session that was hitherto closed, has been re-opened. UNIYO has decided to shift the closing date for 2020/2021 admission to one month after the resumption of schools by the government.

The Basic Studies Programme is designed to prepare students for the examinations conducted by the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB). Holders of the JUPEB certificate would subsequently be admitted into the 200 level of the degree programmes offered by the University of Uyo through Direct Entry JAMB in the courses listed below:

UNIUYO Basic Studies Programme Requirements.

Candidates are required to have a minimum of five (5) credit passes including English Language and any four (4) other subjects relevant to their course of study obtained at not more than two (2) sittings at the SSCE/WASCE, GCE O/L/NECO and NABTEB. Admission into the programme is usually through a University screening test. At the end of the programme, successful candidates of the JUPEB examination will be admitted into 200 level in various degree courses in the University of Uyo provided they satisfy the admission criteria for such courses.

NOTE: JAMB Score is not required for admission into this programme. Candidates who took the 2020 JAMB can also apply as there will be no supplementary application for this programme.

Admission into the Basic Studies programme will be through Computer Based Test (CBT)

How to Apply for UNIUYO Basic Studies Programme

Eligible candidates should pay a non-refundable deposit in the sum of N15, 500.00 (Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred Naira) only via the University Portal (http://uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals)

Online Registration and Payment Instruction

1. Visit https://uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals or www.uniuyo.edu.ng (Click on e-portals link)
2. Select Admission Forms Link
3. Select e-Form(s) Option
4. Select Basic Studies as the Admission Form Type
5. Enter your Phone Number, Name and Email
6. Click the PAY NOW button to make payment
7. Payment can be made online or Bank branch
8. After payment return to the online portal and click on Register Link to complete your
registration
Note:
(i) The same passport photograph used for the online registration will be used during the screening exercise and for registration after the offer of admission.

(ii) No complaint of wrong Bio-Data or blank photograph will be entertained after submission.

(iii) Candidates who up-load wrong bio-data will automatically be disqualified.

Candidates are required to come for the screening exercise with the following items:
(i) One (1) copy of the University of Uyo 2019 ONLINE registration form duly completed with the passport-size photograph printed in colour.

Note: Only colour printout will be accepted.

(ii) One (1) recent passport-size photographs on red background (same photograph as the one used for the on-line registration) with the name and signature of the candidate on the reverse side of the photographs.

These should be packaged in quarto- size envelope and labelled with the candidate’s name and the department.

(iii) HB pencil, eraser and sharpener.

No GSM handsets, calculators, four-figure tables or any other extraneous materials should be brought into the screening halls.

Note: Limited hostel accommodation is available on campus for female students ONLY.

Closing Date for registration: One month after the resumption of schools by the government.
Date for the screening exercise:  The date will be communicated later.
Venue for the screening exercise: PTDF Resource Centre, Town Campus Annex, Uyo.
Time: 7:00am.
