LASU Indigeneship Verification Exercise for 2019/2020 Post UTME

The Lagos State University (LASU) Indigeneship Verification Exercise for the 2019/2020 post UTME screening exercise has commenced.

All Candidates of Lagos State Origin who chose Lagos State University as First Choice in the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored a minimum of 190 are hereby informed that the registration for Indigeneship Verification Exercise for the 2019/2020 Admission Exercise will commence on Monday, 24th June, 2019 and close on Tuesday, 2nd July, 2019. The Verification Interview will start on Wednesday, 3rd July, 2019.

Please, NOTE that the Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not guarantee or serves as a proof of admission into the Lagos State University.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

Candidates are to pay a non-refundable fee of the sum of Five Thousand Naira (N5, 000.00) only into the Lagos State University Account online through this link: www.lasu.edu.ng/iive

Please NOTE that ONLY Candidates who are of Lagos State Origin are eligible for indigeneship screening. Candidates in this category are expected to be CLEARED by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) BEFORE being considered for admission.

ONLY THOSE WHO SCORED 190 AND ABOVE IN THE 2019 UNIFIED TERTIARY MATRICULATION EXAMINATIONS (UTME) ARE ELIGIBLE.

FOR EMPHASIS, THE INDIGENESHIP VERIFICATION EXERCISE DOES NOT GUARANTEE OR SERVE AS A PROOF OF ADMISSION INTO THE LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY.

REVALIDATION OF 2017/2018 AND 2018/2019 INDIGENESHIP CLEARANCE CARD

The University Management hereby states that the candidates [Indigenes of Lagos State] who were screened and cleared by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee [IIVC] in 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 Academic Session and who have also chosen the Lagos State University for the 2019/2020 Academic Exercise need not pay the Five Thousand [N5,000.00] Naira screening fee nor register for the on-going indigeneship Verification Exercise.

Such Candidates are only required to present their clearance cards [obtained at the last exercise] before the Committee for Revalidation only. The revalidation shall be at any of the sittings of the IIVC for the 2019/2020 Admission Screening Exercise.

All concerned Candidates are also to note that the Verification and the Revalidation exercises are to hold concurrently but in phases. The first phase is slated for Wednesday, 3rd July – Friday, 5th July, 2019.

All Lagos State Indigenes who have chosen LASU as their first choice for the 2019/2020 Admission, the University Community as well as the General Public should take note.
