Alex Ekwueme Commemorative Scholarship 2019/2020 for Nigerian Students

Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified Nigerian students for the Alex Ekwueme Commemorative Scholarship 2019/2020 to Study at the University of Strathclyde (UK).

The Faculty of Engineering at Strathclyde is delighted to offer the Dr Alex Ekwueme Scholarship for a Nigerian student planning to commence their postgraduate taught programme in engineering from September 2019.

Alex Ekwueme Commemorative Scholarship

Dr Ekwueme has a close affiliation with Strathclyde, having obtained his PhD in Architecture from Strathclyde. In 1979, he was elected the first Vice-President of Nigeria.

Applicants to this scholarship must hold an offer to study a postgraduate taught programme within the Faculty of Engineering from September 2018.

Architecture, Electronic and electrical engineering, Civil and environmental engineering, Biomedical engineering, Design manufacture and engineering management, Mechanical and aerospace engineering, Chemical and process engineering, Naval architecture, ocean and marine engineering

Alex Ekwueme Commemorative Scholarship Eligibility

This award is open to an international fee paying student from Nigeria who has applied to a postgraduate taught degree in the Faculty of Engineering at Strathclyde for September 2018 start date.

Value of Award

The value of the award is £5,000 and will be awarded as a contribution to accommodation and living costs during the duration of study at Strathclyde.

Part of the application process includes completing a short application form and providing a personal statement of no more than 500 words that outlines why you believe you are a suitable candidate for the award.
