AKSU Matriculation Ceremony Schedule, Hiring of Academic Gowns 2018/2019

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) Matriculation Ceremony Schedule and hiring of academic gown for the 2018/2019 academic session has been released.

This is to inform all the 2018/2019 newly admitted students of the Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), that the management of has announced the schedule for their matriculation ceremony, which marks their formal admission to the University.

AKSU matriculation ceremony has been scheduled to hold as follows:

Date: Friday, 5th April, 2019.
Time: 10:00am Prompt.
Venue: Mini Stadium, Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin LGA, Akwa Ibom State.

Procedure for Hiring of Academic Gowns for AKSU Matriculation.

All fresh students who have been screened and cleared are hereby informed to pay the sum of N3,000 (Three Thousand Naira) only, for hiring of academic gowns for the matriculation ceremony. Payment should be made at the Bursary Department (Students’ Account unit) and receipt obtained/presented to the respective Faculty Officers for issuance of the academic gowns.

Note that all academic gowns must without fail be returned to the Faculty Officers after the matriculation ceremony not later than Monday, 8th April, 2019. Failure to return the academic gowns as required will attract a surcharge of N500 (Five Hundred Naira) only per day from Tuesday, April 9, 2018.

By this notice, Faculty Officers are directed to collect the academic gowns from the Division of Students Affairs for distribution to the matriculating students who have been duly screened and cleared. They must also keep appropriate records of distribution of the academic gowns, indicating name, registration number and department of the students, for ease of retrieval of the gowns from the students.

Students of the Obio Akpa Campus are hereby, informed that buses will be made available to convey them to the Main Campus at Ikot Akpaden for the ceremony. The buses will depart Obio Akpa Campus by 7.30am prompt. Matriculating students are, therefore, advised to be ready for movement at the stipulated time.
