ABSU Signs Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Peace Land College of Education.

The Abia state University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Peace land College of Education, a faith base higher Institution in Enugu, Anambra state.

The Provost of the College, Rev Father, Professor Leo Ihechukwu, speaking during a courtesy call to the Vice-Chancellor for the purpose of completing the process of affiliation with Abia State University and signing of the MOU, explained that the college was inspired and sponsored by the donation of a Swiss woman, who made a sacrifice of her life earnings for the purpose of setting up the college, and pledged that college will uphold the vision of the University, and the change mantra of the administration, which he prayed will rub off on the Institution.

He appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for his numerous achievements in the University as well as the team he sent to the college, who he says are men of integrity and honor and promised that they will not to break the trust of the partnership and affiliation with the University.

Responding to the Vice-Chancellor, Distinguished Professor E. Uche Ikonne thanked the team for the confidence reposed on the University and assured them of the commitment of the administration to affiliate with them, and support them to get accreditations for their programs.

He said the relationship is for mutual benefits and for the benefit of generations to come, expressing confidence, that as a faith-based institution, they will not do anything that will tarnish the image of the college.

The high point of the meeting was the signing of the MOU by the Vice-Chancellor, the Provost of the college, and other stakeholders.
